Vale National Certification for PDR Technicians
Vale National has been training the insurance industry in automotive
estimatics for nearly 60 years. In 2003, they developed a program to
test the skills of PDR technicians using a high-tech imagery computer
that inspects the repaired area of a vehicle for trace flaws. The program
was developed in order to help the public and the insurance industry
discern between quality technicians and those who aren't up to
standard. Less than 225 technicians have passed the test since it was
introduced in 2003.
